As I expected, the parents say that they don't have the moral and intellectual courage to see the world as it is. This is because that's what Batiuk hears when people tell him that they would like their drama to have at least some connection to the real world.

True. They must've gotten it from him. The sad thing is that there are times I whole-heartedly agree with them, but the delivery kind of ruins it.

At least South Park isn't riddled with non sequitur cutaways that add nothing to the episode.
