Dick Tracy: The Fed who wants to jump Sam's bones shows up with a warrant for Panda's office. Sam is not ecstatic.

Funky Winkerbean: Funky's present of Summit Socks comes with a lot of negativity. Les is not ecstatic.

Curtis: Michelle finds an even more incriminating photo of her rival than her rival has of her. She IS ecstatic!!

Sally Forth: Hilary's fear of failure makes her brain short-circuit on her. Ecstatic not she is.

1. You can return used socks?
2. How common is Product Placement in comic strips?
3. Curtis: This particular storyline is tragically realistic. Sites like Facebook have made bullying and cruelty to a whole new level. Next step, I assume, involves Michelle humiliating her "rival" by posting an unflattering picture of her online, to be mocked by the entire planet.

My question is, who finds any of this funny?

Not anyone I'd care to meet, that you can be sure of. Five'll get you ten that the people waiting to be able deep-fry their chocolate-covered cotton candy at the Golden Corral love this crap.

1. You can return used socks?

No, which makes the joke senseless. The climb has a minimum of 5-6 days, and I assume Les is going to use more than one pair of socks.

2. How common is Product Placement in comic strips?

Not too common. Lynn Johnston did some in her comic strip by putting real stores or real people who offer services from her town of North Bay in the comic strip or giving good press to groups that hired her to do presentations.
